Spectra™ VRE is a selective and differential chromogenic medium recommended for use in the qualitative detection of gastrointestinal colonization of vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE) to aid in the prevention and control of VRE in healthcare settings. Spectra VRE allows differentiation of vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium and Enterococcus faecalis.
