ERIC™ Electronic Compendium (version 1.0.771) Patch 0613 for Thermo Scientific™ RapID™ Systems

Issue Date: August 14, 2013

Versions: ERIC™ 1.0.771

Condition: An ERIC software patch update ERICPatch0613 has been issued to modify and update ERIC 1.0.771 to accommodate database changes since the release of ERIC 1.0.771. The patch should not be applied to ERIC versions earlier than 1.0.771.

Burkholderia pseudomallei may be misidentified (most typically as Burkholderia cepacia) by the RapID NF Plus system. This patch will modify the database to improve identification of Burkholderia pseudomallei.

Recent taxonomic changes are not reflected in the ERIC software databases. This patch will modify the database with key taxonomic changes.

Solution: A software patch ERICPatch0613 has been issued to:

  • Update the RapID NF Plus database with revised probabilities for Burkholderia pseudomallei
  • Update organism names and associated notes in the following databases, where taxonomy has been revised:
    • RapID ANA II
    • RapID NH
    • RapID ONE
    • RapID SS/u
    • RapID STR
  • Address any typographical errors found in current notes.

The patch is a self-extracting application that will copy an executable ERICPatch0613.exe to the folder on the target computer that contains the ERIC database.
